Commissioned by a DJ and music producer, Hey Miss DJ! is a portrait composed through rhythm and light rather than resemblance.

The geometry mirrors the pulse of music, vertical bars rising like sound levels, translating frequency into form.

The composition centres around a sharp, stylised “V,” echoing both the artist’s initial and her presence behind the decks: focused, radiant, and in control of the energy that surrounds her.

This work is one of the most personal commissions I’ve created, a synthesis of identity and environment, where the act of making music becomes the act of becoming visible.
