The Dancers (The Red Series)

Acrylic on canvas — 5 x 50 cm × 70 cm

The Dancer (The Red Series) explores the human body in motion through my Giumetric style, where intersecting lines slice across space to construct form, rhythm, and tension. Against a deep black ground, the red lines move like beams of light on a stage, cutting through the void and defining fragments of the dancer’s figure.

The series suggests both the fluidity of dance and the restraint of geometry: each composition captures a different gesture — an arm raised, a body arched, a head poised — as if frozen between beats. Together, the five works create a visual choreography, a sequence of movements that unfolds across the canvases.

The contrast of red, black, and white intensifies the drama: a minimal palette that heightens the sense of performance, spotlight, and presence. The dancer is both individual and archetype, embodying the timeless connection between body, rhythm, and line.
