From Disco to Disco celebrates the energy and freedom of the dance floor. In this work, a woman with an Afro emerges through my Giumetric style, her form constructed from intersecting planes of red, blue, and yellows. The fractured geometry becomes rhythm itself, echoing the pulse of disco lights and the atmosphere of a 1970s night out.
The piece captures not only the movement of the body but also the joy of self-expression — a moment of losing oneself to music, light, and liberation. The title borrows from a late-90s track, bridging eras of club culture and reminding us that the essence of dance — collective energy, self-release, and celebration — transcends time.
Here, geometry becomes groove: the sharp lines shimmer like beams across the floor, while bold colors vibrate with the heat of music. It is both an homage to the disco era and a timeless invitation to move.
