Quadriflowers

Acrylic on canvas, 25 cm x 25 cm

The single Quadriflowers emerged from reduction, not as a loss, but as an arrival.

Following The March of the Sunflowers, the first step forward was a step inward: isolating a single sunflower from the collective. Seen from the front, distilled to its purest expression, it became a modular system. Four nested squares, each capturing one of the flower’s essential colours.

From this, the Quadriflower was born.

Each of the nine works in this series follows this same structure, a symmetrical square-within-square form, yet each represents a different flower, carefully chosen. Not all flowers qualify. Only those with a defined and recognisable colour palette in the collective imagination are permitted into this lexicon.

These are not portraits of flowers. They are essences.
Graphic reductions that, in their clarity, invite recognition.

Displayed in a grid, they echo the rationality of design systems, yet speak in the emotive tones of nature.

Together, they form a typology of colour, memory, and shared perception, the DNA of the entire Quadriflowers collection.

Each Single Quadriflower is available in a limited edition of 30 original paintings.
Precisely produced, signed, and numbered, an intimate fragment of the system made tangible.
